Raypak not lighting

Postby Shanon » Sat 28 May, 2022 16:41

I have a raypak 106 and this is the 3rd year we are using it. Turned everything on and it won’t light. I don’t get the clicking sounds when it try’s firing up. I installed a new roll out safety switch and still nothing. Checked propane valve, on, power, yes. Looking for ideas as to the problem. Thanks

The clicking sound is the igniter, how is that powered by batteries or the mains power. Really this is a boiler pros department, not really the area for diy
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

Any decent heating engineer should be able to diagnose it quickly as they all operate on the same basic principles

If this helps anyone in the future …. The heater will not ignited if there isn’t enough water pressure going through it. I adjusted the pressure and it started. I live rural so to get service, it takes a long time and is expensive.
