Pool heater runs for about ten minutes

I have a gas heater. Accidentally drained the hot tub while heater was running. With no water running through the heater I think the heater overheated. The heater does work but only for a limited time then cuts off I have to turn it off and turn it back on again and it will relight. Sensor, thermostat, valve Any ideas?

What type or manufacturer of heater is this? Most heaters will cut off as soon as there is no water flow(pressure) so it would only have residual heat, not usually enough to cause trouble. Hope that this heater is not below water level because that may cause problems if pressure switch was never adjusted for that condition.
