Currently in the process of installing a VERY SMALL pool of 6' x 16' x 4.5' height.
Looking to install a vfd controlled 4hp pump based countercurrent at one end and using the same pump via a three way to use 9 jacuzzi jets at the other. So it will be an either/or situation.
Also propose to have a seperate 2 hp filteration pump for a 600mm sand filter and then the outputs to the pool thru 4 Jacuzzi nozzles on the longitudinal wall of 16'.
The nozzles would serve as the inlet from the pump as well.
Is this a probable workable solution ?

Re: Pump sizing for filter+ jacuzzi
Fine with the first part but 2hp pump one that size of filter is ridiculous, filtration is far better done slower. By example, my 600mm sand filter (filled with Dryden Aqua's AFM media) filters at the perfect rate for 4 turnovers per day which is 7m3 per hour. My pump below the water line, runs on 35 watts at 240v so is about 0.05hp because thats all thats required for excellent filtration.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
