Front load skimmer advantages?

Is the standard skimmer for an in ground pool inferior to a front loaded skimmer. What is the big difference between the two? Is one a better and new technology? Is there any place on the web that describes the difference between the various skimmers???

Need some help on this before tomorrow.

There's no performance difference between a front load versus a standard skimmer.

Front loads are typically used where a lid access port on top of the deck is not a viable solution, but pulling the basket up and out INSIDE the pool is the best option, such as, an indoor pool/spa with very tight wall tolerances and very little deck area.

You would install a front load if for some unusual reason a deck lid type skimmer will not work with the pool and spa.
