Air support pillow for winter cover help!

Postby beachy » Fri 13 Sep, 2013 16:11

hello can anyone help please , we are winterising our 15 foot above ground pool for the first time ,and was wondering ,instead of having to purchase an expensive air support pillow that sits in the middle of the pool under the cover ,can we just use a large inflatable that we already have and tie that to the pool in the same way. any help appreciated thanks

Whatever you use just has to be able to stay inflated out in the cold of your winter. Depending on the material your inflatable is made of, yours may work or it may deflate in the extreme cold. Another option would be to go with a mesh winter pool cover that will allow the water to flow into your pool but keep the debris out. This type of cover doesn't require an inflatable in the center.

I use empty 20ltr containers.
