building your new pool enclosure

If you are considering a new pool building, then top of your list should be insulation, the more insulation that you can pack in, the better, I have owned an enclosed pool for 13 years, at the time of build, I chose to include 140 mm thick thermopitch to the walls and roof, and 120mm Styrodur to the floor of the pool and floor areas, these two insulations came in the form of 8ft x 4ft sheets. Calculated heat loss suggested a heater of just 3kw to keep the air and water to approx. 31Deg C at 0deg C outside air temperature. 13 years later, still enjoying all year round swimming and the mega energy savings.
