Best SOLAR HEATER?

New member looking for opinions on the best solar heating options out there and wondering if it's really worth it. I've heard that it warms up the pool a bit, but doesn't really "heat" it if that makes sense.

You would have to calculate the average heat transfer for your area and work out how many panels you would require to heat your pool
You could probably get the solar panel firm to do this
They can also be used to cool the pool (if that is a problem) in the night time
Probably cheaper than a heat pump or gas/oil heater and cheaper to run

Thank you. I guess the truth is I just don't know enough about the technical details, but every company I talk to makes different claims. Hoping someone can tell me the best questions to ask and what to look out for.
