Shock and add TA?

So sorry if this is redundant but I'm having a hard time finding an answer to my question just by searching...

I have an above ground pool, 26ft. The past four days it's been cloudy, slightly green, some easily brushable algae on bottom.

I threw in a lb of shock about an hour ago. (Without thinkin, trying to move fast because we have people coming to swim tomorrow. And I should mention that I have no idea what I'm doing!)

Prior to adding shock. These were my levels:

Free chlorine 1-2
Ph 7.5
TA 40
TH 200
CYA 40

I have a 5lb container to increase TA. Can I add it now while the shock is in it?

Don't worry about your TA for now
You need to Slam Shock Level and Maintain
Forget just dumping chemicals in and get a decent test kit (Taylor K2006C or TF100) to get correct levels to balance your water
