Grey Matter that vanishes

Postby Anf15 » Mon 11 Jun, 2018 13:00

I have maintained this pool for past 5 years of home ownership. The pool is about 33 years old. This grey matter easily brushes away, but always comes back. Even when I vacuum to waste, it comes back next morning. I have tried every chemical recommended. No "local" pool person has ever been able to diagnose. Please help.

Looks like clumped algae. Vac to waste, shock, retest, vac to waste, etc.

Bumped for more help.

I have same issue but mine is not as clumped up.

Really does not look like algae, the water is too clear, just fine silt. I get that at crop cutting time, even gets through the cars cabin filter.
