Pool Wizard Question

Hi I've only had a pool for a couple of weeks, but it's already looking a bit green. I'd like to try the pool wizard, but my pool is a quick-set 8ft pool which holds 3000 gallons. The blurb advises that any pool with a capacity of less that 5000 gallons is not suitable for the pool wizard.

Has anyone used the Wizard on a small pool - and if so is it OK? And if not, why not and what would you recommend instead?
