pool pressure-filtering slows

Just replaced pump (1 hp) -Hayward Periflex filter. I run the pump for an hour or so & then I am losing any water pressure that comes into the pool. Also my PSI on filter is hitting 20 PSI. The gauge is new. The fingers & seal were replaced last year -checked & they all appear to be ok. The pool is very green & I am unable to run the filter for any periods of time without having to stop it bump & restart. I will then have pressure for an hour or so & then redo the process AGAIN. Any ideas here??

DE and algae don't like each other. I think in this scenario I would be flocing the pool and vacuum to waste.
