Pool Blower issues

Hi,

I have recently moved and now I'm a new pool owner. Please forgive me if this is a dumb question (which is probable). I have a spa attached to the pool and I'm trying to figure out how that works. I have figured out the valves (thanks to the labels) but when I put the heater on, it will engage but the blower never comes on. Is it supposed to come on automatically from the beginning or once the water reaches temperature? Is it possible that there's a remote somewhere I don't know about? I haven't hooked up a volt meter to anything but I guess that probably makes sense to do?
