Good afternoon,
We are in the process of selling our home and potential buyers are asking what these "holes" are for in the bottom of our pool. I have no idea and we never bothered to ask when we bought the house. Probably not smart on our part... There doesn't appear to be any suction to them. Thanks in advance for your help! Please see pics below.
Does Anyone Know What These "Holes" Are For?
Re: Does Anyone Know What These "Holes" Are For?
I think I found my answer. It looks like the holes are part of an old cleaning system called a "Caretaker" system. They used to have little heads that would pop up and spray water to keep debris off the bottom of the pool. Once the heads and gear box break, most people just removed and let the water flow freely through the pipes. Apparently it's expensive to fix and can usually only be done through a pool remodel, which is why they just get removed.
