Need to replace diverter

Postby Tylerdurden » Mon 17 Jun, 2019 19:15

New to the forum but have been lurking for years. I finally have a issue that I can’t seem to find an answer to. I currently have a pool Gibraltar 16x32 AG pool. The pool has 2 bottom drains and I need to plug them temporarily so that I can replace my diverter valve. After I opened the pool last week I noticed the valve has a small crack and is leaking. I would like to avoid draining the pool to fix it if possible. I tried to plug the drains with 2 bags of play sand but it proved ineffective. Any advice would be appreciated!

There are expanding pool bungs available for exactly this kind of thing, local pool store should have them.

Yes, I removed the perforated cover and figured it out. Thanks! New plumbing and jandy valve installed.
