Hello
let me give you a quick story and tell you my problems.
never owned a house with a pool, just got this house with 18 x 36 in ground pool. drained the pool cleaned out a ton of leaves, refilled, Hayward sand filter, emptied and cleaned and new sand. had to replace a few plumbing fittings.
now the problems:
when I turn the leaver on top of the sand filter it either back washes or pumps and get a few bubbles out of the pools.
another problem no water coming into the pump, line is clear as I put garden hose in vacuum port
Can anyone help this newbie?
Dennis

Re: pool problems
Maybe some images would help us understand your situation better especially of your multi port valve

Re: pool problems
I can't make out the writing on the MPV
Can you write down what you have
Also I don't see any laterals connected to the MPV unless that is the way th Hayward sand filter works
