Losing pressure
My pool is new this year. It’s been tough to keep clean with the weather and paver work and loose dirt around it. I back washed yesterday and the returns were pretty strong, but just 12 hours later there’s almost no return visible. I’m not losing water so I know there are no leaks. Could I just need a thorough cleaning of the filter?

Re: Losing pressure
Yes, you should give the filter a proper clean. Expect this issue frequently to start with then lessen as the water gets cleaner.

Re: Losing pressure
When you lose pressure like that the filter is doing it's job, the normal rule of thumb is when the pressure gets 20-25% above the clean pressure backwash also a Deep Clean may be in order
