in-line chlorinator: to use or not to use

Postby sydneyfnp » Fri 17 Aug, 2007 20:15

Our pool has an in-line chlorinator, but from what i'm reading it almost sounds like the pucks you put in them create more of a problem than they're worth (high CYA). Am I better bypassing it and just dumping in liquid chlorine? Is there any time when using it would be advantageous?

It is very advantageous for vacations, etc. It is also handy to use if your CYA levels are low and you need to bring them up.

If you already have high CYA though, it's best to stop using pucks.
