draing pool

Postby tammyt » Sun 04 May, 2008 20:39

We had a storm Friday night that blew our table and umbrella into our pool. The problem is that the table top was glass. There is glass all in the bottom of the pool. We feel we need to drain it to clean our the glass. Should we backwash to drain?

I wouldnt recommend backwashing to drain, especially if you have a sand filter. Do you have a multiport valve? If so simply set it to waste. Unfortunately draining the pool is the best way to get all the glass out of the pool. There is always the chance of missing some if you just try to vacuum.
