I am trying to understand which way the valves should be to make the drain on the bottom of the pool on or off? Also I need to know how to make the vacum suck harder... I currently have 2 controls valves?

I am trying to understand which way the valves should be to make the drain on the bottom of the pool on or off? Also I need to know how to make the vacum suck harder... I currently have 2 controls valves?

If the valves are for the skimmer and main drain:

1. Normal setting might be both all the way open allowing flow from main drain and skimmer.

2. For vacuuming, close main drain line and open skimmer line all the way.

To know which is which. Make sure both valves are open all the way and then close one of them. If skimmer is working, then you know which line is which.
