inflatable broke under pool cover, now water is brown, can i

My husband is sick, he did the maintenace onour pool we have an oval above ground pool, water looks like river water right now, because of the inflatabel which keeps cover on during the winter broke and the liner fell into the pool with many leaves on it, how can i clean this, also the pool pump is not hooked up as i do not know how to do it, any suggestions
