can jumping damage the pool?

Postby jatmbch » Sat 16 Aug, 2008 13:01

We recently had some larger children jumping up and down in the shallow end of the pool. This went on unattended for a number of days. Wenow notice holes (potholes) where they were jumping.
Is this a pool defect or not unusal for this activity?

Potholes in Pool

Postby carolyn » Mon 10 Nov, 2008 12:09

The only dumb question is the one not asked.

What kind of pool do you have? If it is above ground, the indentions are in the sand under the liner. If it is fiberglass or gunite, someone has to have broken an ankle!

What would cause the pot holes if it wasn't an above ground pool?
