Pool on polystyrene base

I am about to put my new 16 foot ultra frame pool up , the last pool I put on a sand base but it became lop sided as it compressed the sand, and bits under the sand came through the and started to push into the liner , I dont want this to happen to my new pool, I have been told that polystyene sheets make a good base , is this correct ?? should i use 25mm thick or 50mm thick ??

Polystyrene will compress so I would go for the thinner one. If the thicker one compresses differently you will end up with bumps and holes all over.
