Hi All,
First post =). I have an indoor inground pool (they build the house around it, so stuck with what I got). Its pretty faded and im under pressure to paint it. From my research it sounds like gelcoat beats epoxy and I found a place that sounds alright, http://www.nuplex.com/composites/produc ... ay-gelcoat
Has anyone used Aquaguard gelcoat?
Any tips for applying a gelcoat? I dont know what is required for the surface prep, I assume gelcoats stick to gelcoats so I can just rough it up a bit, clean and paint with a roller? (too flamable to spray with electric spray gun?)
What safety precautions should I take? I have the MSDS and it makes it sound like it will explode as soon as I take the lid off the tin. e.g.
Hazard Statements:
Flammable liquid and vapour
Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child
Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure
May cause respiratory irritation
Causes skin irritation
Causes serious eye irritation
May cause an allergic skin reaction

Toxic to aquatic life
Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects
wtf? I was thinking setup a fan, I dont think a dust mask would help, if anyone has used this sorta thing before I would welcome some tips & some reasurrance that im not going die.
