Gasket question

Postby kentuckynet » Thu 30 May, 2019 10:08

I installed my own pool, inground kidney, years ago.
Im replacing my liner now, I cannot remember if the skimmer gets a gasket against the wall or just one behind the face plate of the skimmer. Gasket is spx1085d My walls are polymer.
Also if I wanted to do away with my light and not cut it out is there a blank cover that would fill the hole?

thanks for your help

That would depend on the light niche and manufacturer. Have you considered an LED version, actually affordable to run and last a lot longer.

my light niche is American standard chrome light 79200200 the gaskey set is Pentair 79200400 10 hole, soooo
does anyone make a cover to fill the hole or do I just make one from a aluminum stop sign and silicone it in place?
My light has had leaks before in the wiring conduit, just thought I would reduce one more spot that could leak again.

Can't help on that being the other side of the pond. Just a warning about using aluminium near chlorinated water.
