Help! Need some advice on Chipping out Plaster
We were in the last steps of building a gunite pool. The crew shows up to plaster. About 3/4 of the way through the job, the pump on the truck breaks and they can't get it started again. The plaster is basically ruined. The water trucks are sent home, and now I'm waiting for this crew to come back and chip the ruined plaster out and redo the job. I'm new to this. Are there things I need to be aware of when they are chipping out a plaster coat that was just applied a few days ago? Such a nightmare.

So they chipped out the plaster, but the concrete now has a lot of scrapes and potmarks. Do you guys I recommend a concrete patching job before reapplying the new plaster, or do you think it's fine to apply the plaster as is?

It should be fine, it actually creates a bigger surface area for adherence.
