Re: Wall material for indoor pool room
What is it you do here if you don't mind me asking? What is your opinion of those Ubbink type pools. It will be used for our guests so was looking to not spend a fortune. I'd love to have a sunken pool but I think I might have to put in planning for 'change of use' and because there is a chapel within 500m planning takes for ever.

Re: Wall material for indoor pool room
I am a pool engineer, I help with people's pools, that often means straightening out water and filtration issues. I also engineer low energy high quality filtration which makes pool ownership lower cost but very much easier.
I like the wood framed pools, great bang per buck! They are a strong self supporting structure unlike thin aluminium walled pools. Unlike many above ground pools they have good thickness liners (75/100). Yes you may need a change of use but planning doesn't usually take that long, although that comment depends where you are I expect.
Like you, I have a chateau less than .5km away and the main stipulation was not to have a blue liner. The agreement had to go before the batiment de France in Paris but wasn't that bad.

Thanks Teapot. I appreciate all the advice and hope you don't mind but I will have many questions to pose in the coming weeks about just the topics you expertise in.
Where about in France are you?
