Home Built Hot Tub

Postby BenJack9903 » Mon 21 Oct, 2019 07:58

Started my "pool" over the summer as an opportunity to complete a project with my kids. I wanted to teach them some things. Dug and poured the floor and the footing for an 8'x8' hot tub

Sorry, not sure what happened... Poured the footing and floor, laid cinder block walls (reinforced with rebar of course), poured the walls full of concrete, laid a rock "topper" around the wall. This weekend was the final piece. I added the homebuilt, wood heater and lit it up. Water was 58 degrees at 7:30 and 94 degrees at 12:30 with the pump running to circulate. Spent the afternoon in and out of the hot tub just barely keeping the fire going and finished up last night at 102 degrees. All in all, I burned 7 sticks of pine firewood and about three armloads of cutoff lumber from my wood shop. VERY PLEASED
