Wiring pump and salt generator

I'm installing a new pool with Hayward VS pump and AquaRite salt generator. Do I need to hard wire both the pump and control panel for the generator to the breaker box? Or, do I only need to hard wire one or the other and connect power between the two? 110 power is what I'm using.
