Plaster pool advice

I've just bought a house with an indoor pool that needs some repairs. I haven't been able to find anyone near me that knows anything about plaster pools.  Everything was working okay but all the chemicals were way off!  I got all that figured out so now I'm working on the cosmetic part. I've drained it to see if it could be cleaned or painted. It has green spots or pits,I'm not sure which is the correct way to describe it.  Even the marble across the top looks really worn bad. What do I need to do to get this pool back to looking good again?  I've got pictures but not sure how to attach them?
