Above Ground Oval Pool No Buttress

Just had a new oval pool installed after the 20 year old blew out on me last year. Old one was a 18 x 33 with buttress. New one is 15 x 30 No Buttress. On the old one the side walls, long sides, were smooth with very little showing of the stanchions or braces inside the pool. The new pool stanchions protrude into the pool about 4 to 6 inches making a wavy look from inside the pool. Is this normal?

I just had one installed yesterday. Mine does the same thing. My side walls are really solid but the oval seems very unstable. Does yours do the same. Feel like I could run real hard into oval wall of pool and push it over.
