Existing PTI TEC finish is 16 years and seems to be good shape pool size 10x20 3 feet to 6feet deep
HOWEVER the Waterline tile is bad shape, I got told in order to remove/replace them I need to cut a line at the tile/Pebbletec junction before chisel the old tile off to prevent damage to the PTEC finish!?
And then later after NEW tile is installed to grout that line between tile and PTEC with epoxy grout??
2nd Option is to refinish the whole pool, question, does the old PTI finish need to be removed first?
How much does that cost about per sqf?
I kinda hate to spend that money on a new finish when the old one is still good shape
I took some loose tiles off and it didnt do any damage to the PTec, however there are other tiles that are still solid
Replacing the bad tiles only is not an option, since the line of tiles is discontinued.
I want to do this myself as I get ridiculous bids and most say it is too much work and time consuming to them.
Tile area would be 60 Lf or 30 sqf
And there is a waterfall wall that's another 20sqf
How can I upload a pic into this message?
Thanks,
Doc
