Stair coping

Hey guys hoping someone can provide some guidance. Long story short my mom had a local company install new liner and stairs. The cost of this job was $13k, seems completely ridiculous but she went through with it before getting multiple estimates because "this company installed the last liner and it lasted 20 yrs" now the job is done and theyve been paid but we are not happy with the coping around the stairs. Do you have any suggestions what we can do to clean this up? The company said "theyre looking into it and thinking about using epoxy"
