Concrete Cantilever Coping **HELP**

I am having an inground pool build by a reputable builder in upstate New York. We are in the middle of the build and the concrete masons poured the concrete deck this past Friday. We went with a cantilever coping with a chiseled edge. They pulled the forms off today and when I inspected their work I notices holes in the entire edge of the concrete coping (see pic).

Is this normal?
Is this an issue with the install or concrete they used?
We decided on a salt water pool? Are these voids going to deteriorate over time and crumble?
