Wood platform for Pool Heater & Pump

Postby cheycomm » Tue 28 Sep, 2021 07:19

I am having a pool installed and do not have any level ground, the pitch is steep everywhere.

I can either dig a HUGE whole to pour a 4'x8' concrete slab, digging to make level ground, or build a 4'x8' wood platform. The wood platform would be a lot easier. Any reasons why building a wood platform is not advisable?

Heater: AQUACOMFORT ACT-1500 130KBTU 230V 1PH SIGNATURE XL HEAT PUMP
Pump: Aqua Pro EB854

Thank you!

Wood rots and any chlorine spill will rot it faster. How about composite decking?
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

Composite decking for the top sounds good, what about the structure? Can that be treated wood?
