Pool Light ends right at start of shallow end

Postby Koberd85 » Sun 24 Apr, 2022 19:20

I recently had a Hayward light installed into my 16x32 pool. The pool light abruptly stops the the beginning of the shallow end. I sent pictures to thr installer and they claim the light is fine and my pool is too large for a single light. I disagree because the light is not fading but coming to a hard stop at the slope where the shallow end starts. Looking for help on this one as I begin the process to have this corrected. The light seems to be installed at a height that is approximately 2 feet from the top and the shallow end is 3 feet. It seems to be that logic tells me that the light is pointing in a direction that it is hitting the slope and not even getting to the shallow end. Has anyone seen this problem before?

The light would bounce off a light coloured surface. Why didnt the installer off that advice before fitting it?
Lights should be fitted on the long sides for obvious reasons.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
