Hey guys,
We have a vinyl liner pool with an aluminum frame. We will be replacing a vinyl liner in two weeks.
There is a return jet that has been blocked off with a plug on the vertical wall. When we replace the pool liner, we would like to permanently seal of the line. The question is how to permanently seal the return while avoiding any sharp edges on the liner? A couple options discussed:
- Just cement the return
- Epoxy glue a plate over the return
- Using a manual rivet gun to put a plate over return
Any suggestions?

Re: Blocking off Return Jet Valve
Wondering why the return was removed, often there are not enough returns, the amount of water that can be filtered is dependent on skimmers and returns.
When I have relocated returns and skimmers for better water movement action a thin plate stuck over the hole will do it but I use modified polymer adhesive like Sikabond etc.

I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
