backing strip needed for butt-welding pool floor

Any idea where I can find this product in the UK? I have found an identical product for PVC roofing, but it's described as 'vapour-permeable' - which worries me a bit, given the fact that there's going to be a large volume of water sat on top of it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Are you using weld on site pvc pool liner, Elbe, Alkorplan or Renolit?
Most weld on site liners use a 50-70mm welded overlap joint and liquid pvc on the edge. Some of the heavier profiles Renolit Alkorplan touch 2mm+ use a backing strip so the profile lays flat.

Im using Haogenplast - which is similar to the ones you mention. I don't want to do the overlap joints on the floor, as the are very visible and obviously not flush. That's why I want to use the backing plastic so that I can have a flush joint. Unfortunately, I can't find any suppliers in the UK stocking this.

I am guessing you have already tried them for the backing but often they dont do retail and large quantities to their suppliers.
