can i use foam from home depot for the bottom of my pool

Sure , I have seen it done lots of times but I have also seen it done wrong. make sure all the edges line up and level, if not you will see all the seams through the liner.

thank you i am looking at buying the tonge and grove 3/4 and i will glue the edges and tape them. its a new pool so i will do the foam bottom before the sides are up.also do you thing i need to use sand under the foam i have a very sand yard if you you dig down 5" its all sand.

Sounds like you arhigh and low pointe doing it right. Just level off the base under the styrofoam so there is no high and low points and you are good to go.
