I used Gorilla liner in my above ground pool installation, and it definately made a difference. My soil has always been rocky and I was unsure that the bottom of the pool would ever feel smooth, but you cannot feel any bumps or sharp edges at all. Here is an article about it. This is the company that I purchased my pool from, and their info really helped me make a good decision. I hope this helps!!
