Hi guys I am new to this forum. We operate a 130k gallon pool (Metal sides, concrete bottom) and are having issues with the clarity and the chemical make up.
Problem: Pool is Blue but cloudy, Can't see vents: Pool won't hold chlorine
Recently purchased a TFT-100 kit (these were my results)
Chemicals checked three times in two days:
Chlorine: .5
PH: 6.8 (if that light yellow)
CYA: Between 20-30PPM
Calcium: Purple ( Can't get it blue)
Alkalinity: 100
Other Details:
Have been putting in enormous amounts of chlorine and shock. Not holding
I am a newbie( my father is the normal pool operator but we are not sure how to handle, so I am trying to assist)
We will be opening pool soon, so considering water replacement but cost is 3-5k
Thank you in advance!
Alex

I can't tell you how metal sides play a role in all this, but here's my $0.02:
pH should be 7.2-7.8
CYA should be 30-50.
FC should be 3-7.
I hope I'm not breaking a forum rule... Google "Pool School". While this is overwhelming at first, it really isn't complicated. Find a good pool calculator to help you keep your water properly balanced.
