Cloudy pool water

Hi there, i just put up a pool and it has a cartrige filter. I used my well water to fill the pool. I shocked it, which im thinking i shouldn't have cause i used well water, but i did, and it instantly turned cloudy. Any sugestions why it did and how to clear up the problem. Thank u in advance.
