Water was perfect until I took pool store's advice!
Water was perfect until I took pool store's advice!
Went to buy chlorine and took my monthly water sample. Was told everything looked great, but I had phosphates registering. Sold me a $25 bottle of phosphate remover. Added it to my crystal clear beautiful pool. It was a little cloudy the next day. Then 36 hours after I added phosphate remover I shocked the pool and within minutes it was so milky I couldn't see the bottom! It has been over 24 hours and it is still milky! I'm so frustrated. Any ideas on why this happened and what I should do, if anything, to resolve it?

Did you shock with Cal-Hypo? If so, that can produce temporary cloudiness though it can last a while if you don't lower the pH and your water was already over-saturated with calcium carbonate.
If the cloudiness is from the phosphate remover, you may need to use a clarifier if your filter does not filter fine particles. If it's a sand filter you can Add DE to a Sand Filter for finer filtration.
