Shock which is just a high level of chlorine can still have CYA in it
SLAM is an acronym for Shock Level and Maintain, which is used to kill off algae and high CC
Cal-Hypo, it also increases Calcium Hardness (CH) by at least 7 ppm for every 10 ppm of chlorine

I forgot to post this, but I did a vacuum of all the white stuff out of the pool after letting it settle to the bottom and it's been fine since
