HELP ! MY POOL LOOKS LIKE A REALLY LARGE GLASS OF MILK!

Postby chell » Fri 15 Jul, 2005 22:27

I have just about give up, my pool is a 24 foot round and the water was clear however, after a week-end of rain it turned green. I put five packs of shock-it in the pool and now it is WHITE. It looks like a big glass of Milk. When I test it it show my chlorine level 3.0 just a little high and the ph level is between 7.6 and 7.8. I have no idea what to do now! Please Help!

Get some clarifier and run the filter for at least 6 hours after adding the clarifier.
This should bring all the debris to the bottom of the pool for you to vacuum out!

Milkiness/Cloudy

When using shock, always try to use liquid over powder. Powder will make the water cloudy for a day or two. Just add some form of clarifer/coagulant, run filter for 12 hrs, then shut down. Most of the contaminets should be laying on bottom of pool......
