When I started to clean the pool, I skimmed off what looked like 30 buckefuls of snot, honestly, I can think of no other way to describe it! now three weeks later, the Ph and Chlorine are fine, I have used liquid floculandt, cartridge floculant, clarifiers, and back washed regularly, I can now see the bottom of the roman steps! The pool is kidney shaped, 25 years old but perfect, but the sand filter is the same age, someone give me a clue, I am swimming in turquoise milk!

Sounds like some sort of bacteria. Keep your chlorine at shock level for 2 or 3 days, day and night, keep your pump running and brush and vacuum regularly until it clears up.

Test your water for FC, CC, TC, pH, TA, CH, TDS and metals.
