I can't get my pool balanced. Pool people tell me it is high in metals.
ph is 6.8
chlorine is 5
alkalinity 80
stablizer 150
what can I do?
blue but cloudy pool high metals
You have way too much stabilizer. Can only be lowered by dumping at least part of your water and refilling.
Discontinue use of tablets and stabilized shock. Use unstabilized chlorine such as regular chlorox or pool store liquid chlorine.
Your pH is a little low - use some baking soda. If it's a vinyl pool you ought not let the pH get below 7.0 or you can damage the liner.
If your water tests high in metals, then you need to treat with the appropriate products for whatever metals it's high in.
