Flood Disaster - need help

Postby Craig22 » Sat 04 Sep, 2021 06:34

I have an in ground liner pool 48k gallons. Ida cause local river to over flow into my pool making it a mud pond.

I put a can of flock into it which did nothing - apparently it was rated to treat 40k gallons. Bottle says dosage can be doubles or tripled. So I added two more bottles ran the system on recirculate for 2 hours and sh!t it off per the directions. So far no settling. Just chocolate milk water - it’s been 30 hours. Note says usually takes 12 but could take 48.

I cannot drain the pool due to a high water table and cracks in the pool itself which would immediately float the liner.

I have a spare pump I plan to use to vacuum to waste - should I continue to wait, add more flock or start to blindly vacuum and then add more flock ?

Flocculent will do nothing in this case. Filter, backwash and filter
