blue water + high chlorine

Hiya,

I need help with my swimming pool! The water is misty blue I can see the bottom of the pool but its still not very clear, I have used the bottom cleaner, filtered the water for a few hours for the last 3 days and backwashed it after every filtering, also I just got a digital PH/Chlorine tester the PH reads ideal but the Chlorine reads caution, could this be the reason why the water is misty and blue? If so what should I do?

What kind of chlorine have you been using? Is it Trichlor pucks/tabs? Or Dichlor chlorinating granules? Or Cal-Hypo? See what it says on the ingredients.

Also, get yourself a good test kit such as the Taylor K-2006 you can get at a good online price here or the TF100 test kit from tftestkits(dot)com here. The TF100 test kit has 36% more volume of reagents so is comparably priced to the first link.
