We set up our pool like a week ago and after a few days and some rain, it began to get cloudy so I added a bag of shock and swim and then our water turned this yellowish green color immediatly and so we were told to add another bag, which we did but this color will not go away and I am having people over to swim tomorrow! I have no idea what to do now! Except drain and refill, but that is a problem in itself !! Please help me!

Unfortunately your pool's color will probably not be normal by tomorrow. What kind of shock did you add? What is the active ingredient? Sodium hypo, dichlor, trihlor, etc.? I would also need to know a complete listing of your chemistry to give you any advice. Do you use a copper based algaecide? Copper can cause a greenish color when shock is added.
