Cloudy water coming from returns

We opened our pool for the season about 2 weeks ago. We have an inground pool with a salt system. After opening the pool our salt level was very low. I took a sample of water to pool store and they told me to add 5 bags of salt along with stabilizer, calcium increaser and alkalinity up. I was told to put the stabilizer directly into skimmer and the rest directly into pool. Ever since I added these chemicals I have had cloudy water coming from my returns. This does not happen all the time just periodically throughout the day. Sometimes the water coming out of the return is clear and sometimes it is cloudy. When it is cloudy my whole pool gets cloudy and then it will settle down and turn clear again until the cloudy water starts coming out again. My pool store cannot seem to be able to explain what is happening. Any ideas.

What kind of filter do you have? Also, stabalizer takes awhile to fully dissolve so it COULD be this. If it is a DE filter you could have a tear in the grids.
